IRAS announces additional benefits for seamless filing by software

Last updated on 27 February 2023

The Inland Revenue Authority (IRAS) announced additional benefits for companies adopting seamless filing from software to promote greater productivity and reduce the hassle of filing tax returns. For Years of Assessment 2023 to 2025, all adopters of seamless filing from software will enjoy an automatic 15-day extension on their filing deadline. Furthermore, there will be a waiver of penalties for errors made when filing Form C-S seamlessly by software.

The move aligns with IRAS’ digitalisation blueprint to help companies and tax agents integrate tax into the systems used in companies’ daily operations.

Other similar benefits will also be available for the adoption of seamless filing for Goods & Services Tax (GST) returns, Auto-Inclusion Scheme (AIS) submissions, and Tax Clearance for Foreign & Singapore Permanent Resident Employees (IR21) due from 1 Jan 2023 to 31 Dec 2025.

Companies and business owners should consider checking in with their engaged service providers of Corporate Tax Services Singapore to explore utilising/adopting seamless filing solutions, to digitalise for efficiencies.
